Pelesanuo Julie Pienyü is a Learning Designer with a deep concern for the future of education, employment, and skills development in Nagaland. Hailing from the vibrant village of Barabosti in Kohima, Pelesanuo is a passionate advocate for change, particularly in the areas of education, employment, and skills development. She is acutely aware of the challenges faced by the youth of Nagaland, including high rates of unemployment and low levels of skills development. Her deep concern for these issues has inspired her to contribute towards creating a better future for her community.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, a Master’s degree in Economics, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, Pelesanuo taught Social Sciences and Economics for 3 years at North Town Higher Secondary School, Chumoukedima before joining NagaEd as a Learning Designer.
Pelesanuo’s love for her Naga heritage extends beyond her professional pursuits. She also takes pride in incorporating her culture into her everyday style by wearing Naga Shawls as part of her attire. Whether in the office or out and about, Pelesanuo’s Naga Shawls serve as a beautiful reminder of her roots and cultural identity.
As a Learning Designer at NagaEd, she designs and develops teaching and learning content that supports blended delivery on the NagaEd Learning Management System (LMS). Pelesanuo also designs and delivers training programs that build the capacity of teachers and other stakeholders to effectively use digital tools and resources and deliver quality education to learners.
