Megovino is a passionate social work professional with expertise in grassroots development, youth empowerment and community engagement. She holds a Master Degree in Social Work with specialization in Youth and Community Development from RGNIYD, With diverse field experiences spanning across rural and urban India. She did her internship in Grassroot org. in Shillong where she worked with the traditional healers in Meghalaya and led capacity-building programs in villages across East Khasi and Jaintia Hills, she Interned at Exnora International, Chennai and conducted environmental education camps, she also had the opportunity to interned with youth for unity and Voluntary Action (Yuva) Mumbai and had work on the promotion of social entitlements for marginalized communities in Panvel.
As a Gandhi Fellow in Piramal Foundation, she worked in Baksa District in Assam and led last-mile governance initiatives, facilitated Gram Sabhas, established eco-clubs, and organized eye care camps for the tribal populations.
She is certified in 21st Century Employability Skills by the Wadhwani Foundation and has qualified the UGC-NET for Assistant Professor.
I am currently serving as a District program coordinator at NagaEd for the District empowerment program in Peren District. My role focuses on coordinating with the stakeholders, empowering communities through education initiatives and digital tools and strengthening the school system to enhance the district level outcomes.
