Job Title: Business Development Representative

Purpose of the Position

This position drives new institutional (B2B) sales growth at high schools and colleges for NagaEd digital education solutions and services. Applying a high-level sales strategy and acute business acumen, the Business Development Representative cultivates and signs large-scale, profitable, multi-year, multi-service deals. The role works collaboratively with our Partnerships and Engagement Lead and will be fully supported by our Operations team. 

Reporting directly to the Founder, you will be a hands-on team member with responsibility for responding to new leads, qualifying and progressing leads, managing a group of accounts and assisting with demonstrations to potential clients.

Organisational Unit Function

  • Sell NagaEd solutions and services in your assigned territory
  • Build and maintain successful client relationships and partner with new high schools and colleges
  • Actively source and convert new business opportunities
  • Following a sales process, and regularly reporting on your pipeline, you will ensure all school information is up to date via internal CRM
  • Learn technical aspects of multiple software products inc. LMS and courseware
  • Create, enhance and facilitate effective sales presentations and proposals
  • Attend and network at industry-related events and conferences
  • Strategically plan both internal and with partner schools
  • Share new insight that helps prospects properly evaluate different solutions
  • Prepare and tailor messaging for prospective clients
  • Help guide prospective clients through the purchasing process to meet agreed-upon timelines
  • Accurately forecast your quarterly and annual performance
  • Develop sales strategies to increase client pipeline
  • Properly navigate through districts to build numerous relationships with key buyers
  • Consistently meet/exceed sales quotas within a specified time frame

Selection Criteria

You are a proactive self-starter, who has experience working with software products and is interested in driving the sales function. You have experience in the education sector and enjoy working collaboratively with administrators and educators. You have a proven ability to thrive in a changing and fast-paced environment 

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales/Marketing, or related field
  • 3-5 years experience in business development or sales role, where you have previously sourced new business opportunities
  • Strong relationship building skills with an aptitude to grow and nurture client relationships
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and time management skills
  • Passionate about cultivating client relationships and integrating technology into education
  • Tech-savvy and able to confidently stand in front of an audience of school administrators and teachers
  • Self-starter that works autonomously
  • Strong English skills, both written and spoken
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Well organised and can meet deadlines
  • Full-time access to a car is essential for this role.
