DIMAPUR: NagaEd and the Nagaland Empowerment of People through Economic Development (NEPED) on June 10, 2026, signed a five year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Kohima to strengthen collaboration in digital education and renewable energy development.
The partnership spans digital learning, renewable energy market development, research, capacity building, and community knowledge systems, recognising the complementary strengths of both organisations.
Speaking on the occasion, Kevisato Sanyü, founder of NagaEd, said the partnership aims to connect learning, technology and local expertise to serve the next generation. “Nagaland’s most powerful solutions are already here—in our people, our knowledge systems, and our communities. What we need are stronger pathways to move that knowledge, those skills, and those opportunities to more people, faster,” he stated.
Kovi Meyase, Commissioner & Secretary to the Government of Nagaland and team leader, NEPED, noted that sustainable development must be rooted in the knowledge and aspirations of local communities. He said the collaboration would strengthen capacity building, knowledge systems and renewable energy initiatives through the Centre of Excellence for Renewable Energy Studies (CERES) in Dimapur.
Both organisations emphasized their shared commitment to community ownership, contextual relevance, transparency, innovation and sustainability. The MoU formalises this alignment and creates a structured pathway for coordinated action.
NEPED is a Government of Nagaland initiative, focuses on community based natural resource management, renewable energy development and sustainable livelihoods. It operates CERES in Dimapur, dedicated to renewable energy research, manufacturing, innovation and training.
NagaEd with its headquartered in Kohima, designs and delivers digital learning systems, training programmes and technology enabled solutions. It has supported over 96,000 learners and trained more than 8,000 educators and professionals across Northeast India and beyond.
