Are you a local student seeking to pursue your further studies? Look no further! The Edu-Connect Scholarship Program is offering over 350 full and partial scholarships. Offered by 5 Government of Nagaland endorsed educational institutions across India, applicants can avail up to 100% tuition fee waiver for various streams from Diploma to Bachelor and Master’s Degrees.

Application Submission

Please fill out the scholarship application form at www.nagaed.com/scholarships. You may submit a maximum of 3 applications.

Shortlisting Candidates

7 July 2022

Your application is shortlisted based on eligibility criteria and entry requirements as per course and institution. Selected candidates will be contacted by 15 July 2022. You will need to pay a Rs.200 processing fee to progress your application.

Enrolment Interview

Your shortlisted application is sent to the university or institution that you applied for. The university enrollment team will assess your application for enrollment. As part of the enrolment assessment, the university enrollment team may contact you for an enrolment interview.

Enrolment Offer

If successful in the interview process, the university will send you an offer letter for enrolment outlining the conditions of your scholarship and enrolment with instructions on how to proceed with your enrolment.

Applicant must have Scheduled Tribe Status (ST). Students must be attending or have completed or anticipating to complete class 12 or 2nd pre-university levels at the time of application. Students must be able to enrol for the course for the 2022 intake.

 

About Edu-Connect Scholarship Program

The Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) is Nagaland State’s notified Investment Promotion Agency to facilitate the creation of investment opportunities and to explore all possible funding/investment opportunities for infrastructure and socio-economic development of the State.

In May 2022, IDAN in partnership with North East Educational Council (NEEC) conducted “Edu-Connect 2022”, a state-wide education conclave to boost investment in the State’s education sector and create awareness and exposure for students to educational institutions in the country. Two-day events were held in Kohima and Dimapur respectively with live telecasts across all district headquarters in Nagaland. 31 national and local educational institutions participated in the program with an attendance of over 4000 students across Nagaland. 

As an outcome of the conclave, 5 educational institutions empanelled by the Government of Nagaland are offering over 350 scholarships to students. Full and partial scholarships are available for various streams for Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree

What are the entry requirements/Eligibility criteria for scholarships?

Applicant must have Scheduled Tribe Status (ST). Students must be attending or have completed or anticipating to complete class 12 or 2nd pre-university levels at the time of application. Students must be able to enrol for the course for the 2022 intake.

 

Courses have various entry requirements. You can check the minimum requirements for each course on the institution’s website. 

How many scholarships can I apply for?

Applicants can apply for a maximum of 3 scholarships. To apply for multiple scholarships please resubmit the application form.

What is covered by the scholarship?

Scholarships cover full and partial tuition fees only. Additional costs such as travel, food, board, accommodation and miscellaneous fees are not covered by the scholarships. Students may apply for student bank loans to cover additional costs if required. 

What if I can’t pay for travel, food and boarding costs?

Successful applicants may apply for student bank loans. IDAN will help successful applicants with student bank loans. Please call 8729997873 for bank loan assistance.

Is there a fee for the application?

There is no fee to apply for a scholarship, however, shortlisted candidates will need to pay a one-time processing fee to advance their application. Processing fees vary from institution to institution and you will be notified if your application is shortlisted.
